A VPS, or Virtual Private Server, is a remote computer hosted online that you can use to run your trading setup separately from your personal device.
It can help keep your trading platform, Expert Advisors (EAs), or trading bots running continuously with lower latency and 24/7 availability. This can be useful if you want your trading system to stay active around the clock and operate closer to TabTrade's trading servers.
Who is this for?
This is for TabTrade customers who have been provided with VPS access through TabTrade+ or direct VPS sponsorship. If VPS access has been activated for your account, you can log in remotely and manage your hosted trading setup from there.
How do I access my VPS?
You can access your VPS from:
Windows
Mac
iPhone and iPad
Android
Linux
Web browser
We provide access through NYCServers, which offers connection options for each supported device type.
Which app should I use?
The app you use depends on your device. For Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android, use Windows App. For Windows, you can use Windows App or your device’s built-in remote access option, where available.
If you are using Linux, we recommend installing Remmina and using your VPS login details from your welcome email to connect. For detailed help, please check the Linux setup link under Helpful Links below.
Where do I find my VPS login details?
You can find your VPS login details in two places:
your VPS welcome email from New York City Servers
the Server Details > Show Login Credentials section on your active VPS page in the Secure Account Portal
This includes:
VPS IP address and port
Username - usually Administrator
Password
Make sure you enter the details exactly as shown.
What can I do after I connect?
Once connected, you can continue setting up and managing your trading environment on the VPS itself. A NYCS VPS has most of the features of a full windows PC, so your can customize it in the same way.
This may include:
installing trading software
logging in to your trading account
adding EAs or other trading tools
monitoring your VPS after setup
When logging in to your trading platform on the VPS, use your usual TabTrade trading account credentials. If you are using MT5, select TabTrade-Live as the server, then enter your TabTrade account login and password to access your account.

What should I do if I cannot connect?
If you’re unable to connect, first check:
that you are using the correct IP address, username, and password
that you are using the correct app for your device
that your internet connection is stable
